Peliti, based in Mesochori, Paranesti, Drama, is an alternative community dedicated to the collection, preservation and dissemination of traditional seed varieties. It has 15 local groups across Greece and has played a decisive role in safeguarding the country’s agricultural biodiversity, preserving more than 2,000 traditional varieties and distributing them to over 150,000 growers.
