What is
social innovation?
Social innovation is defined as an activity that is social in terms of both its objectives and its means, and in particular an activity related to the development and implementation of new ideas (concerning products, services, and models) that simultaneously respond to social needs and create new social relationships or collaborations, thereby benefiting society and strengthening its capacity to act.
The first SEED project identified the following thematic areas as priorities for Social Innovation:
