Lifelong Learning and Cooperatives

A programme by the People’s University of Social and Solidarity Economy, broadcast on Tuesday, 15 November 2016 on FM 100.6, Thessaloniki’s municipal volunteer radio station, on the topic:

“Lifelong Learning and Cooperatives”

The programme discussed contemporary challenges in lifelong learning, as well as the shared roots of adult education and cooperation as radical, creative and emancipatory forces. It referred to the example of pioneers of adult education for social change, examined the limitations of lifelong learning and the Social and Solidarity Economy when treated primarily as forms of social policy, and presented conclusions and policy proposals from recent research on Social Cooperative Enterprises providing lifelong-learning services in Central Macedonia.
