Cooperation and the Social and Solidarity Economy: The Emerging New World


A programme by the People’s University of Social and Solidarity Economy, broadcast on Tuesday, 17 November 2015 on FM 100.6, Thessaloniki’s municipal volunteer radio station, on the topic:

“Cooperation and the Social and Solidarity Economy: The Emerging New World”

The programme explored what the Social and Solidarity Economy is, why cooperatives may prove more resilient during periods of crisis, and why they can succeed where private companies and the state may fall short. It also examined the kind of alternative world that cooperation can help create, whether such a world is feasible, and whether elements of it already exist.
